25 October 2020 CDR Jeffrey Fellows, a native of Dallas, TX, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and received his commission from the United States Naval Academy in 2002. CDR Fellows completed flight school as a member of Training Squadron TWO ONE (VT-21) at NAS Kingsville, TX and was designated a Naval Aviator in October 2004. After earning his Wings of Gold, he reported to Strike Fighter Squadron ONE TWO TWO (VFA-122) at NAS Lemoore for F/A-18E/F Super Hornet training. Upon successful completion of the fleet replacement pilot syllabus in the fall of 2005, CDR Fellows was assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron TWO TWO (VFA-22) and deployed aboard USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76) in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and subsequently deployed to the Gulf of Oman in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM (OEF).

In January 2009, CDR Fellows was selected to attend the Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor course at the prestigious United States Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) in Fallon, NV. After graduation, he was assigned to the TOPGUN staff as an Instructor Pilot while also serving as the Navy and Marine Corps subject matter expert on Threat Aircraft. During his tenure, he was peer-selected to lead the TOPGUN staff as the Training Officer. After his tour in Fallon, NV, CDR Fellows reported as the Training Officer for Strike Fighter Squadron FOUR ONE (VFA-41) at NAS Lemoore in April 2012 and deployed aboard USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 70) in support of OEF.

In September 2014, CDR Fellows reported to Strike Fighter Squadron ONE FIVE FOUR (VFA-154) as a Department Head and participated in joint exercises Operation NEPTUNE FALCON and NORTHERN EDGE while embarking on the USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) in the Pacific.

In December 2016, CDR Fellows reported to Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO ONE (VFA-101) at Eglin AFB, FL, to begin his flight training in the Navy’s 5th generation Strike Fighter platform, the F-35C Lightning II. During his tour, he served as the Training Officer and managed all training requirements for the Navy and Marine Corps F-35C community.

His personal awards include the Strike Flight Air Medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (two awards) and various campaign and unit awards.
