26 October 2020 Master Chief Petty Officer Duane Carr hails from Vincennes, Ind. He graduated from Pike Central High School and entered the Unites States Navy in San Diego, as an IC-man, in 1993. He received his Associates in Science from Hawaii Pacific University, and graduated from the SEA in class 206, and CMC/COB class 178.
 
Master Chief's sea tours include USS Dubuque (LPD 8), USS Belleau Wood (LHA 3), USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43), USS Peleliu (LHA 5), USS Boxer (LHD 4), USS Cleveland (LPD 7), and USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Ashore, he served at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY / IMF), and Interior Communications Rating Lead at the Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS) in Dahlgren, Va.
 
His personal decorations include Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy Achievement Medal (six awards), and various other personal and unit awards.
 
Master Chief Petty Officer Duane Carr is currently assigned to the Black Aces of VFA-41 serving as the Command Master Chief.
