Command Master Chief Robert M. Stumm

Command Master Chief, Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 146

26 October 2020 Master Chief Stumm enlisted in the United States Navy out of Knoxville, TN in March 1993. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois he reported to Apprenticeship Training Division.

Upon graduation, he reported for duty aboard USS AMERICA (CV 66) in Norfolk, VA and struck Aviation Boatswain’s Mate. His fleet assignments include USS AMERICA (CV 66); USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74); USS NASSAU (LHA-4); USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71); USS DWIGHT D EISENHOWER (CVN 69); and USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN 75). In addition, Master Chief Stumm completed shore assignments at the Naval Waterfront Brig, Rota, Spain; United States Army Confinement Facility, Manheim, Germany; Commander Naval Air forces - Atlantic, Norfolk, VA; and the Naval Guard Battalion, Guantanamo, Cuba.

Master Chief Stumm is currently serving as the Command Master Chief with the “BLUE DIAMONDS” at Strike Fighter Squadron 146, Naval Air Station Lemoore. He holds an Associates in General Studies from Columbia College. Additionally, Master Chief Stumm is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 163 and has earned his Enlisted Aviation, Surface, and Information Warfare Specialist designations.

His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards) Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6 awards), and various unit and campaign awards.‚Äč
