Command Master Chief, Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 35

27 October 2020 Master Chief Jason Stevenor is a native of Peoria Heights, Illinois. He enlisted in the Navy on 01 July 2002; attending Basic Training in Great Lakes, Illinois followed by Cryptologic Technician Communications (CTO) ‘A’ school in Pensacola, Florida.

Master Chief Stevenor reported to his first command, Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Sugar Grove, West Virginia in February 2003. While at Sugar Grove, he converted to the Information Systems Technician (IT) rating. After his first successful tour, he reported to USS CARR (FFG 52) in 2006 homeported in Norfolk, Virginia and completed deployments to West Africa, the Persian Gulf and Central and South America. In 2010, he transferred to the Information Technology Services Department at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland where he served as the Department LCPO. In 2013, he reported to Mine Countermeasures Crew (MCM) DOMINANT in San Diego, California and embarked USS CHIEF (MCM 14), USS CHAMPION (MCM 4) and forward deployed to USS GLADIATOR (MCM 11) in Manama, Bahrain.

Master Chief Stevenor is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 198 (Orange) and CMC/COB Class 168. He was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in February 2017. His previous Command Senior Chief/Command Master Chief tours include Naval Support Facility Redzikowo, Poland and LCS Crew 110 (USS SIOUX CITY BLUE).
 
Master Chief Stevenor holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Policy: Pre-Law from Liberty University and an Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Systems – PC Systems Technology from Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland. His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy Achievement Medal (7 awards) and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
