22 December 2020 Captain Locke was raised in Umatilla, Florida. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 1994, Master’s in Military History from American Military University in 2016, and Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2019.  He received his commission through Officer Candidate School in 1997 and was designated a Naval Aviator in 1999. 

Captain Locke’s fleet assignments include a tour with Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO FIVE (VFA-105) and three tours with Strike Fighter Squadron FOURTEEN (VFA-14).  He has completed six deployments aboard the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), USS Nimitz (CVN 68), and USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) – accumulating over 960 arrested landings.

He served as a staff instructor at the prestigious United States Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) and the Commanding Officer of Strike Fighter Squadron ONE TWO FIVE (VFA-125).  His other shore assignments include Strike Fighter Detailer, Navy Personnel Command and F-35C Requirements Officer, OPNAV (N98).

He was selected as the 2009 LCDR Michael Hoff Attack Aviator of the Year, the 2010 Commander Strike Fighter Wing Pacific Pilot of the Year, and the 2015 Commander Strike Fighter Wing Pacific Navy and Marine Corps Peer Leadership Award Winner.
