Senior Chief Morris was born in Texarkana, Texas and enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program in June 2003.  Upon completion of basic training, Naval Aircrew Candidate School, Aviation Warfare Systems Operator “A” school, and Fleet Replacement Squadron Thirty (VP-30), he was assigned to Patrol Squadron ONE (VP-1) in Whidbey Island, Washington.

In 2010, he returned to VP-30 as an FRS Instructor.  At VP-30, he led the Fleet NATOPS Evaluation team for the P-3C, earning his Master Training Specialist and Weapons and Tactics Instructor qualifications before transitioning to the P-8A Poseidon.  As a P-8A Fleet NATOPS instructor and FRS Instructor, Senior Chief Morris transitioned and monitored three squadrons over to the new aircraft.

In 2014, he reported to VP-8 as an Electronic Warfare Operator Instructor and assumed the duties of leading the squadron through their transition.  After VP-8, he went on to the MPR Weapons School where he managed Fleet Training and led three Weapons and Tactics Instructor courses.  In January of 2021, he graduated from the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and joined Patrol Squadron FOUR on deployment in May of 2021.

His personal awards include the Air Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards), Flag Letter of Commendation (2 awards), and various unit level and campaign awards.
