Shaffer Command Master Chief, Fleet Readiness Center Northwest More Details Shaffer Shaffer SHARE IMAGE: Download Image Image Details Photo By: MCC Griffith VIRIN: 241104-N-UM741-1006 Command Master Chief Shaffer is a native of Moreno Valley, California and joined the Navy in February of 1997.At Sea, he served onboard USS Narwhal (SSN 671), USS Norfolk (SSN 714), USS San Francisco (SSN 711), USS North Carolina (SSN 777), USS Rhode Island (SSBN 740B), USS Greeneville (SSN 772), and USS City Of Corpus Christi (SSN 705).Ashore, he served as the Mast and Antenna Shop LPO for SIMA Norfolk, Operations Supervisor for Naval Submarine Support Command, Pearl Harbor and as the Fleet Technical Expert for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.Following selection as Chief of the Boat in 2018, he reported to USS Alexandria (SSN 757) in San Diego, California, where he made two Western Pacific deployments.Additional Command Master Chief tours include Patrol Squadron FOUR SEVEN (VP-47). He reported to Fleet Readiness Center, Northwest in October of 2024.He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 207) and the CMC/COB school (Class 183). His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (5 awards), Navy Achievement Medal (7 awards), and numerous campaign and unit citations. He currently resides in Oak Harbor, Washington with his wife Gina and their five children, Veronica, Raymond, Amber, Micah, and Kalina.
