He then attended flight training at NAS Pensacola, FL. Following primary flight training he reported to the E-6B Fleet Replacement Squadron (VQ-7) at Tinker AFB, OK, where he earned his NFO wings. Operational assignments include his junior officer tour with the Shadows of Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron FOUR (VQ-4). His department head tour was with the Ironmen of VQ-3 where he served as the Maintenance Officer. Shore assignments include E-6B operational test director at Air Test and Evaluation Squadron ONE (VX-1). He was a graduate of US Naval Test Pilot School, class 144, and subsequently the E-6B project officer at VX-20. He also served as the E-6B NATOPS Program Manager at VQ-7 and, most recently, as the E-6B readiness officer at Commander, Naval Air Forces. He has completed JPME Phase I and also earned his master’s degree in systems engineering through the US Naval Postgraduate School.
