Captain Hildebrand earned his “Wings of Gold” in September 2001 and reported to the “Golden Eagles” of Patrol Squadron NINE. During his tour he served as Pilot Training Officer and qualified as a Mission Commander and Instructor Pilot. In 2005, Captain Hildebrand reported as an instructor pilot to the 32nd Flying Training Squadron where he trained Navy and Air Force student pilots in the T-1 Jayhawk aircraft. Captain Hildebrand transitioned to Full Time Support in 2008 and reported to the “Skyliners” of Fleet Logistics Support Squadron FOUR EIGHT where he qualified as a C-20G instructor pilot and served as Legal Officer, Maintenance Officer, and Operations Officer. In 2010, Captain Hildebrand reported to Fleet Logistics Support Wing where he managed global operations and legal requirements of 15 Naval aviation squadrons and seven air detachments, comprising of fifty-six aircraft. In 2013, Captain Hildebrand reported to Air Warfare Division, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations where he served as a requirements officer for the Navy Transport and Commercial Derivative Aircraft multi-billion dollar portfolio. Concurrently, he served as Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director, Air Warfare Division. From 2015 until 2018, Captain Hildebrand served as Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Five Three’s Executive Officer and Commanding Officer where he led 232 Navy Officers and Enlisted personnel in the mission execution and maintenance of five C-130T Hercules aircraft operating worldwide in support of all six geographic Combatant Commanders. In 2019, Captain Hildebrand reported to United States Africa Command where he served as Chief, Reserve Affairs Branch and as the command’s Reserve Program Director. In 2021, he reported to the Reserve Warfare Division, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations where he served as Deputy Director for the Navy Reserve’s 19 billion dollar warfighting portfolio. Captain Hildebrand is a 2019 graduate with distinction from National Defense University’s Eisenhower School. His personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal as well as various service and unit awards.
