Command Master Chief Frank Wilson is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in August 2000 and attended basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois.

Following his initial training, he completed Naval Aircrew Candidate School and Aviation Machinist Mate “A” School. In February 2001, he graduated from the P-3 Flight Engineer program at Patrol Squadron THREE ZERO (VP-30) in Jacksonville, Florida, earning his designation as a Naval Aircrewman. His first operational assignment was with the "Tridents" of Patrol Squadron TWO SIX (VP-26) in Brunswick, Maine, where he served as a Flight Engineer and Powerplants Inspector. His subsequent operational tours include service with VX-30, VPU-2, VP-4, VQ-1, and an instructor tour at VP-30.

Throughout his career, Master Chief Wilson has completed numerous worldwide deployments and accumulated over 6,400 flight hours as an Instructor Flight Engineer aboard P-3 and C-130 aircraft. He also earned qualifications as a Full Systems Quality Assurance and Maintenance Control ‘Safe for Flight’ Representative.

In 2020, he was selected for the Command Senior Enlisted Leader program, serving his first tour as Command Senior Chief aboard USS FORT WORTH (LCS-3). After his promotion to Master Chief in February 2023, he assumed the duties of Command Master Chief for the "Zappers" of Electronic Attack Squadron ONE THREE ZERO (VAQ-130). With the Zappers, he completed a 2023-2024 combat deployment with Carrier Air Wing THREE (CVW-3) aboard USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) in direct support of Operations INHERENT RESOLVE, PROSPERITY GUARDIAN, and POSEIDON ARCHER. In February 2026, he assumed the duties as the Command Master Chief at Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing TEN (CPRW-10).

Master Chief Wilson is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 223) and Command Leadership School (Class 235). His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, seven Strike/Flight Air Medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, six Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, the Combat Action Ribbon, and the Meritorious Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, among various other unit and campaign awards. He is authorized to wear the Naval Aircrewman, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist insignias.
